This weeks social gathering was held at the St Cuthberts Parish Hall, where leader Liza Cole welcomed the attendees. Twenty eight people attended, and for many of them this was a new experience for them.

The hour-long gong bath flew by. Afterwards, once people came too, they were treated to hot drinks and cakes supplied by Myra and Jackie.

A lovely relaxing time was had by all. A big thank you to Liza for her expertise and for travelling down to lead the evening.

There will be music in the Church every day & tea/coffee/cake will be served in the village hall. As well as having a walk around the village and looking at the scarecrows, there will be stalls, raffle, tombola etc too. Parking is on the village green.

It's somewhere to go over the bank holiday if it's a nice day and folk are stuck for something to do, without having to travel too far.

Someone suggested yesterday at the picnic and dip that I send you a link to the reason that I’ve been AWOL since May. Every Thursday night I was learning/rehearsing for the BBC Proms at the Sage ‘Night Choir’ concert. Hopefully the attached link will work. The concert runs to about 70 minutes and will be available on BBC Sounds until 30 days after the Last night of the Proms – which should be about the 8th/9th October.

The concert featured Votre (the Sage Youth Choir), the RNS Chorale and massed voices of the NE – about 250 singers in total with not an instrument in sight or hearing.

Hope you are well and I’m looking forward to returning to the fold on Sept 7th.
